In March 2023, the Thai government approved an extension of tax privileges under the Thailand Plus Package till December 2025.

The three Royal Decrees approved by the Cabinet mainly focus on:

-       Tax Measures to Promote Investment in Automation: which allows an additional deduction of 100% of expenses for investments in automation and software for automated systems;

-       Tax Measures to Promote Hiring of Highly Skilled Personnel: which allows an additional deduction of 50% of expense form the payment of salary (not exceeding 100.000 THB) for highly skilled employees in certain industries;

-       Tax Measures to Promote Development of Highly Skilled Personnel: which allows an extra deduction of 150% from sending employees to trainings and courses certified.

The deductable expenses are those paid from January 2021 to December 2022.
